Assists with the NICU parent lounge refreshments and hotel stays for families in need.
Assists in the facilitation of the patient recovery process, social needs, and communications with the staff and acts as a liaison between patients/family and staff during shift handoffs.
Provides hospitality and amenities to unit patients and guests and assists 3CV unit staff with discharges and stocking of supplies.
A program funded by the Auxiliary of Good Samaritan Hospital. We provide patients in need with new or gently used clothing to help assure they leave Good Samaritan Hospital with Dignity and weather-appropriate clothing.
Assist by performing a variety of tasks for patients and staff in the ED such as lab and pharmacy deliveries and providing amenities to patients and families in the waiting room.
Support the nursing staff in the delivery of care to new mothers and their families.
Trained adults provide physical and emotional comfort to infants in the NICU through holding, rocking, and personal interaction. Volunteers also assist NICU staff as needed.
Assist Director of Volunteers Services, Auxiliary leadership and Auxiliary staff with general office duties and special projects.
Good Sam Auxiliary Volunteers help improve the patient experience by offering complimentary items including quiet kits, lip balms, newspapers, books, and bottled water.
Assist hospital departments by performing a variety of tasks for patients and staff, including dismissing patients, running errands, and delivering flowers.
Help in maintaining the Auxiliary’s website and managing our social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.
Provide information and comfort to families and visitors of patients in the Cardiovascular ICU and those undergoing surgery.
Support the delivery of care to patients receiving total joint replacement surgery to facilitate patients’ recovery, social needs, and timely discharge.
